FALCONS UNVEIL 2006 ECHL ALL-STAR LOGO

Fresno Plays Host to ECHL's Marquee Event on Jan. 24 & 25, 2006

FRESNO, Calif. - In anticipation of the 2006 Bud Light ECHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition, which will be hosted by the Fresno Falcons at Save Mart Center on Jan. 24 and 25, 2006, the Falcons are proud to present the All-Star logo:

The inspiration for the All-Star logo was essentially the Falcons' primary team logo. The design includes the head and wings and trademarked Falcons font, as well as the logo of the presenting sponsor for all of the All-Star events, Bud Light. The All-Star logo was designed by The Joe Bosack Graphic Design Company in Pipersville, Pa., which also designed Fresno's current set of team logos.

In conjunction with the release of the All-Star logo, the Falcons have also restructured the home page on their website at www.fresnofalcons.com. The site, designed by SS Web Design, now incorporates the All-Star logo into the home page header, as well as a pair of action shots featuring Falcons players. Computer users with a 1,024 x 768 pixel-setting for their desktops will also notice a background made-up of the Falcons' secondary team logo framing the website as a whole.

Players from across the 27-team ECHL will be selected to compete for their respective conference during the two days of All-Star festivities at Save Mart Center. The Skills Competition, which will be held on Jan. 24, involves the players competing in skill events such as fastest skater, hardest shot and a breakaway relay. The All-Star Game itself will then be held on Jan. 25, pitting Fresno's own National Conference against the American Conference All-Stars. Last season, Falcons head coach Matt Thomas coached the National Conference to a 6-2 victory over their counterparts in the All-Star Game held in Reading, Pa.
