Dayton, OH – The Dayton Bombers of the ECHL on
Tuesday released their 15th Anniversary Season logo. The
commemorative logo was designed and produced by TDH
Marketing and Communications in Dayton, Ohio.
“We are very proud of our involvement with the Dayton
Bombers and excited about the opportunity to develop
their 15th Anniversary logo. Our goal was to develop a
logo that captured the excitement of the Dayton Bombers
while maintaining an element of familiarity, and this
logo is a perfect fit,” stated John Hull, Director of
Marketing, TDH Marketing & Communications.
Since starting operations in 1991 the Bombers have
recorded at least 30 wins in 10 of their 14 previous
seasons, and have reached the 40 win plateau three
times. The best season in franchise history was
2000-2001 when the team posted a record of 45-21-6, with
26 of their 45 wins recorded on home ice. The following
season, Dayton made their only appearance in the ECHL
Finals losing a best-of-seven series to the 2002 Kelly
Cup Champion Greenville Grrrowl.
The Dayton Bombers franchise has produced a number of
ECHL award winners over the years, including 1992 Rookie
of the Year Darren Colbourne, 3-time Defenseman of the
Year Tom Nemeth (1994, 2000, 2001), and 3-time
Sportsmanship winner Jamie Ling (1999, 2000, 2001). The
Bombers also produced the 1995 ECHL Coach of the Year,
Jim Playfair.
The Dayton Bombers, proud “AA” affiliate of the
National Hockey League’s Columbus Blue Jackets, will
celebrate their 15th Anniversary next season. For
