The
Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club is proud to unveil
their new 2005 uniforms.
The uniforms were designed to incorporate traditional
Tiger-Cats elements, including the return of the famous
Tiger-Cats striping on the sleeve, while providing a
clean look more appealing to fans of all ages.
“It was important that our uniforms really looked
like uniforms and not costumes,” said team President
David Sauve. “It is important to us that Tiger-Cats fans
30 years ago and 30 years from now can easily recognize
a Tiger-Cats uniform even when styles change”.
The new uniform sports classic Tiger-Cats yellow and
black in a new cut and design. Fans will also find a new
font style, a flip of the numbers from the sleeve to the
shoulder, and that the tiger face on the uniform was
replaced with the leaping Tiger.
The re-launch also includes a movement from one set
of pants to two and a return of the traditional yellow
stripe to the helmet.
The new uniform was the result of more than a year of
hard work and testing by the Reebok design team. This is
the same design team that designs some of the world’s
most famous uniforms including the NFL and the NBA.
New jerseys will be available at Tag Day today Ivor
Wynne Stadium (10am-4pm). They will also be available at
any Ticats Store location or online at
