Wichita Wranglers -
Primary Logo |
Wichita,
KS - Ten years ago the Wichita Wranglers unveiled a
cutting edge logo that used off the chart colors and
turned heads across the country. The Wranglers have
unveiled their new look for 2005. Gone are the days of
teal and purple, with red and black accents. Gone are
the black and white pen strip uniforms with teal
lettering across the front.
The Wranglers will now boast new colors which include
Red, Black, Tan, and Gold. The new home uniforms will be
an off-white with red and black piping. Across the chest
remains the Wranglers name, but with a script that takes
the team back to its roots. Not only the roots of the
Wranglers of 1987, but of the city of Wichita.
"Our city is so rich with history," said Wranglers
General Manager Eric Edelstein. "Our ballpark nearly
sits on the original Chisholm Trail. We have such an
opportunity to not only be proud of our heritage, but
also to give it a boost as we bring back some of the
proud history that built the city we call home."

The
new primary logo of the Wranglers features a cattle
wrangler briskly stampeding after his heard atop his
powerful steed with a lasso in hand in fast pursuit.
The secondary logo, which will be used as the hat
logo is a new character that will develop a strong
personality and presence over time. It features a huge
red "W" serving as the outline of a face with an
enormous tan cowboy hat and two eyes glaring out at its
rivals, daring it to take him on.
The third new logo for the Wranglers is a brand with
the letter "W" square in the middle.
