Victoria Salmon Kings Unveil Uniforms
A Classic Look for Brand New Team
The
Victoria Salmon Kings, the newest entry in the ECHL
today released their jerseys to the public. The look is
classic and harkens back to the uniforms of the some of
the best-loved sweaters in professional hockey.
Created by SP Apparel of Quebec the jerseys feature a
base white for their home sweater and a base of
“midnight” blue for the road sweater. The navy is so
dark that it may appear almost black under some lighting
conditions.
“This is a great look. There’s no diagonal stripes,
nothing that screams at you. Just a classic hockey
sweater that I think our player’s will be proud to
wear,” said Salmon Kings coach Bryan Maxwell. In
addition to the base colours you will notice some silver
striping that picks up the silver of the salmon and gold
striping that is picked up in the crown on the salmon’s
head.
Ken Noakes, Director of Sales and Marketing for the
Salmon Kings is also excited but the finished product.
“We are tremendously proud of the overall appearance of
the jersey. We consider ourselves traditionalists and we
wanted the look of the sweater to reflect that. We have
even gone back to the deep cut neck of the retro
jersey’s that have come back into popularity.”
The jerseys are now available for sale from the
Salmon Kings offices at 702 Fort St. Both home and road
colours area available and each can be purchased as
either replicas or pro authentics.
The Victoria Salmon Kings play their first regular
season game October 22, 2004 against the Bakersfield
