Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz Unveil Uniforms
Dawgz Prep for Inaugural Game, Reveal Uniforms
The
Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz are putting together a
championship squad and are ready to take on their
opponents in the af2. With the inaugural game right
around the corner, the Yard Dawgz revealed their new
uniforms to the public and media on Tuesday, April 1,
2004 at the Cox Convention Center.
The Yard Dawgz were sporting the home jerseys with
the smooth colors of brick, black and silver with the
Dawgz logo on the chest, directly above the player's
number. The pants are black with a brick or cardinal
stripe down the side of the legs.
The
21-man roster has been set for the upcoming game on
Saturday, April 3 against Tulsa . Coach Gary Reasons is
confident in the squad he is leading on the field and
feels his team is prepared for the challenge of the
upcoming season.
“We are excited that our first game is here,” Reasons
said. “We know Tulsa has a 26 game winning streak at
home and it is a difficult place to play. Our guys have
to be poised and put out an excellent effort to come out
with a victory.”
The Dawgz first game in history will be against the
team just up the turnpike, the 2004 ArenaCup champions
the Tulsa Talons. The Talons defeated Macon 58-40 in the
ArenaCup League Championship Game in August 2003, so the
Dawgz will have their hands full.
The Dawgz brought over 8 players from the Tulsa
Talons team from the last couple seasons. Bill Clapper,
Keonta Golson, Al Hunt, Sean Love, Chuck Little, Johnnie
Balous, Timon Marshall and ArenaCup MVP Craig Strickland
will all be wearing the brick and black jerseys of the
Yard Dawgz this season.
