Contest
February 5, 2004 - Louisville, KY. Stephanie Roach,

the ABA next season, today announced a "Name the Team"

still. According to Ms. Roach, "Prior to finalizing a
team name, we thought it would be right to give the
citizens of Louisville a chance to have their input as
to what we name our new expansion team. We're very
excited and enthusiastic about being in Louisville and
are eager to make our team the premiere team in the
league."
Louisville is one of five new expansion teams that
have been announced thus far; the others being Portland
OR, Pittsburgh PA, Nashville TN and Little Rock AR.
Joe Newman, ABA Co-Founder, stated, "The league is
also very excited about having a team in Louisville.
Stephanie has put together a remarkable group of people
there who should make the community proud. Once again,
Louisville will having exiting, fast-paced professional
basketball at affordable prices."
Ms. Roach added, "We haven't figured out what type of
prize we'll offer to the winning name - but we'll do
