Georgia Force to Unveil New Uniforms

Having revamped its roster and front office, the Georgia Force soon will introduce new uniforms.

A predominantly black helmet will replace the mostly silver one. The black helmet was on display at Thursday's news conference introducing Vince Dooley as chairman of a Force advisory board.

"That's one major switch," General Manager Eddie Rockwell said, referring to the helmet. "But you'll also see a change in the jersey and the pants."

The team is aiming for "a little more exciting look," he said.

The Force will unveil the uniforms within two weeks.

Also Thursday, the team announced that single-game tickets will go on sale Jan. 16. Season tickets are available at 770-813-7610 or www.georgiaforce.com.

Georgia opens training camp next week and starts the season Feb. 8 at the Arena at Gwinnett Center against the New York Dragons.
