Richmond Roosters Unveil New Logo
McBride Stadium - Richmond, Indiana
At
a press conference held today at Don McBride Stadium,
Richmond Roosters President Rob Quigg, along with the
rest of the Roosters staff, unveiled the new look for
the 2004 tenth anniversary Richmond Roosters season. An
updated, cutting edge new logo was presented to the
media and local officials, along with the tenth
anniversary "Celebrating 10 Years of Baseball" logo. The
new logos were developed by Jeff Huffine of Huffine
Design in Hagerstown, Indiana along with the senior
management staff of the Roosters.
Director of Tickets and Merchandise, Patrick
Davidson, talked about the new season ticket packages
for 2004, including more benefits and lower prices, $250
for box seats and $125 for reserved grandstand seats or
lawn seats. "We wanted to make sure that nothing stood
in the way of Rooster fans and their families from
enjoying the nation's pastime at Don McBride Stadium
this summer" said Quigg. With the recent increase of the
Frontier League schedule from 90 to 96 games, the value
got even better. The season ticket price includes all 48
home games plus playoff games for the 2004 season.
Also
announced was the SUPER SIX PACK, a package that
includes the six most popular nights on the upcoming
2004 schedule. This uniquely packaged ticket option
includes six game tickets as baseball cards, featuring
former and current Richmond Roosters players. One of
those players, Matt Schweitzer, who was signed by the
Kansas City Royals organization at the end of the 2003
season, was present to help introduce the new logos. The
SUPER SIX PACK gives the fan the same seat for the six
most popular games of the season for a cost of only $21
each.
Vice-President/General Manager Deanna Beaman gave
details of the Richmond Roosters Richmond Square Mall
Kiosk. Ticket packages and the brand new 2004 Roosters
merchandise will be available beginning the Friday after
Thanksgiving for the remainder of the year. "The season
tickets and SUPER SIX PACK make fantastic stocking
stuffers along with a wide variety of Roosters
merchandise with the new team identity for your baseball
fan" said Beaman. "We invite everyone to stop by and see
the new logos and the great new merchandise at the mall
this Christmas shopping season."
The
Roosters were joined by Frontier League Deputy
Commissioner Kevin Rouch for the announcements this
morning. Those at the press conference got a sneak peak
at the new luxury suites being constructed in the
Roosters office building. The climate controlled suites
will offer a nostalgic twist, with seats rescued from
the demolition of historic Riverfront Stadium (Cinergy
Field).
