Dallas Stars Unveil New Alternate Logo, Uniform

If you saw the Stars play Friday, you've seen their new third jersey with a bull on it. Why a bull? "It's a fusion of Texas icons and the spirit of the Dallas Stars," Stars president Jim Lites said. "We wanted to pay tribute to the state of Texas now that we're starting our second decade here." Also, the alternate logo depicts a constellation of stars aligning to form an unstoppable force, a charging bull. "Hopefully, it's the perfect metaphor for this season," Lites said. That might sound like a lot of bull to justify a new jersey for fans to buy, but the last time the Stars unveiled a third jersey they went on to win the Stanley Cup that season.
