Four NBA Teams To Unveil New On-Court Looks

Nuggets' uniform named best in league by NBA rookies

NEW YORK, Oct. 2 -- Four NBA teams will sport a new look on the court this season as the Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets and Orlando Magic launch new uniforms, produced by Reebok, for the 2003-04 NBA season.

The following is an overview of each team's new uniform design:

Cleveland Cavaliers | Team shop
The Cleveland Cavaliers' new uniforms feature elements of the team's new identity, including use of a crimson-hued wine color and metallic gold that represents updated versions of the Cavaliers' original colors. The uniform will also feature the team's new secondary C-Sword logo on the shorts and new stylized wordmarks for each uniform - "Cavaliers" on the home uniform and "Cleveland" on the road uniform.

Denver Nuggets
The new Denver Nuggets uniforms were voted the best uniforms in the NBA by the 2003 NBA rookies, based on a survey conducted by USA Today.

The Denver Nuggets new uniform design features new colors of light blue, gold and royal, which are also used in the team's updated logo. The Nuggets will additionally use a new secondary logo this season that features a "DN" highlighted by the traditional snow-capped mountain peak, which will be featured on the uniform shorts.

Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets' new uniforms have two arcs circling the uniform sleeves and shorts to match the team's new "R" logo. Designed by Eiko Ishioka, the 1992 Oscar winner for costume design on "Bram Stoker's Dracula," the uniforms are designed to emphasize the upward motion, which is unique to the sport of basketball.

Orlando Magic | Team shop
The Orlando Magic's new uniform design honors the team's 15th Anniversary season. This is the team's third uniform in 15 years beginning in 1989 with the famous pinstripes and followed by the Jhane Barnes-designed star jersey of the last five years.

In addition, the blue away jersey is adorned with "Orlando" -- a change designed to reinforce the team's commitment to its hometown.

All of the new uniforms will feature Reebok's PLAY DRY™ technology, a moisture management system that helps keep the athlete cooler, drier and more comfortable by using temperature and humidity-regulating properties in the fabric.
