Hurricanes Unveil New Logo and Uniforms
Lethbridge,
Alberta – The Lethbridge hurricanes are pleased to
present their new logo and uniforms. The new circular
design incorporates a swirling puck around the
Lethbridge Hurricanes word mark.
The logo was designed by Jack Santos of Edmonton
based Visible Means Design. Santos has a history of
turning out quality designs. He produced the Hurricanes
past two logos; the Twister design and the 10th
Anniversary Logo. “Our goal in designing the new logo
for the Hurricanes was to maintain the integrity and
uniqueness with that of the teams current logo status”
said Santos.
The Hurricanes primary road colour will change with
the new logo. Taking over from the traditional red based
jersey will be a blue jersey with white, grey and red
trim. The Cane’s have used this colour scheme during the
past few years in an alternate uniform.
Darren Stocker, General Manager of the Hurricanes
thinks the new look is a nice fit for the upcoming
season. “It’s a year of change for us. New seats, new
souvenir shop and a new look. It’s going to be a very
exciting season with all the changes around the hockey
club” said Stocker. It’s a sharp look for us and I think
it will be something the fans will enjoy” added Stocker.
The Hurricanes new look was designed after the team
ran into problems with © issues. The Hurricanes
will debut the new look on September 19th against the
Medicine Hat Tigers in the 2003-04 Dairy Queen Home
Opener.
