East Coast Hockey League - Las Vegas Wranglers
Las Vegas Wranglers Unveil New Logo
Las Vegas, Nevada - With the ice surface of the
soon-to-be-completed Orleans Arena serving as a
backdrop, the Las Vegas Wranglers unveiled a new logo
and color scheme for their 2003-04 inaugural season.
The
Wranglers logo features a red, black, and silver color
scheme with a hockey stick carrying ‘Wrangler' mounted
on a bull. Wranglers officials say the logo reflects a
new look for the Wranglers move to the
soon-to-be-renamed East Coast Hockey League.
"It's an exciting look for the Las Vegas Wranglers,"
said Wranglers vice president Billy Johnson. "This icon
will soon come to represent action-packed and affordable
family entertainment for Las Vegas locals."
Members of the West Coast Hockey League's Bakersfield
Condors were on hand to try out the Orleans Arena ice
surface including Minnesota Wild camp invitee Jonas
Lennartsson and IHL veteran Guy Dupuis.
The Condors, who were in town to prepare for their
upcoming West Coast Hockey League post season run, will
join the Las Vegas Wranglers in the East Coast Hockey
League during the summer of 2003. With over 200 players
who have gone on to the NHL, the ECHL has established
its reputation as a premier developmental league for
professional hockey. Among active NHL players are ECHL
alumni Olaf Kolzig, Patrick Lalime, and Eric Boguniecki.
The Las Vegas Wranglers will play a 36-game home
schedule in the 7,000 seat state-of-the-art Orleans
Arena beginning in October 2003. To reserve your season
tickets contact the Wranglers office at (702) 471-PUCK
(7825). For more information, visit the team on the
