Cleveland Cavaliers To Unveil New Logo, Uniforms

CLEVELAND, Feb. 28 -- The Cleveland Cavaliers will
unveil the team’s new logo and uniforms – featuring a
“new expression of wine and gold” – on Wednesday, April
16. The new home and road uniforms will be worn
beginning next season while the new logo will start
being implemented following the unveiling.
The process will begin with a mid-day press
conference to reveal the new designs to the media.
Details of the press conference will be forthcoming.
When the Cavaliers host the Toronto Raptors that
evening, each fan in attendance will receive a free
souvenir t-shirt with the new Cavaliers logo and colors,
the first piece of merchandise bearing the new insignia.
Additionally, the game presentation that night will
be highlighted by great moments in team history, visits
from legendary Cavaliers players, and a spectacular
halftime show that will serve as the official logo,
uniform and court design unveiling ceremony. More
details will be available in the coming weeks.
Ordinarily, a team identity package – featuring
logos, uniforms, colors and other designs – is not
launched until June. However, the Cavaliers have
received permission to introduce its new marks before
the end of the current season.
