Jacksonville Suns Announce Changes to Logo
The Jacksonville Suns announced a number of changes
to the previously released team logo.
After encountering © problems with the
original logo and listening to the feedback of fans and
team supporters, the Suns were prompted to make the
modifications.
David Lee, Senior Art Director at The Robin Shepard
Group, designed the new logo.
The main character in the logo was reworked to
incorporate the fan friendliness the Suns strive to
embody. Additionally, the city name was moved to be a
part of the main body of the logo.
“I was honored that Mr. Bragan asked me to work on
the new logo,” said Lee. “I hope what I've helped to
create is a bold and dynamic logo that has the spirit of
the Suns.”
“We are very pleased with the work that David did for
us on this logo,” Suns General Manager Peter Bragan, Jr.
said. “We would have preferred to avoid this situation,
but the end result is something that we are excited
about and we hope our fans will like it as well.”
The main uniform design for the Suns will remain the
same but there will be a minor change to the team’s home
cap.
Merchandise featuring the new logo will be available
soon from the Suns and can be ordered by calling (904)
358-2846, online at
www.jaxsuns.com, or by visiting the Baseball Grounds
of Jacksonville during the season.
The Suns play their first game at the new Baseball
Grounds of Jacksonville at 7:35 p.m. Friday, April 11
against the Huntsville Stars. Season ticket plans and
sponsorship packages are currently available. Contact
