Seattle Mariners Unveil New Alternate Jersey
The Seattle Mariners today unveiled a new alternate
jersey to be worn during selected home and road games
during the 2003 season.
The look of the new alternate jersey has been updated
and simplified. The "true" navy blue color has been
darkened to "Midnight Navy" and metallic silver accent
piping has been removed.
Similar to the current home white jersey, "Mariners"
appears across the chest, and the club's logo, the
"Nautical Compass Rose," appears above the letter "M."
The three-color appliqué features metallic silver
letters with navy and Northwest green trim and the font
has been slightly updated from the more traditional
block letter style. For the first time, player's numbers
appear on the lower left front of the jersey in
four-inch high numerals. The player's name and number on
the jersey back matches the front.
The alternate jerseys, which are manufactured by
Russell Athletic, are available exclusively at all eight
Seattle Mariners Team Stores.
