National Football League - Green Bay Packers
NFL Markets New Green Bay Packers Apparel
Still don't have enough Packers apparel? The National
Football League wants to help you.
This week, new apparel - long-sleeved T-shirts, satin
jackets, pullovers and the like - is showing up at J.C.
Penney and Packer Pro Shops at Lambeau Field. The
wrinkle this time around is that the apparel sports a
classic Packers crest, or logo, that hasn't been seen in
these parts since the early '90s.
NFL officials say the look was revised and updated a
tad. The Green Bay-Milwaukee area is one of six markets
where the NFL is using the revised crests. The other
markets are Chicago, Cleveland, Oakland, Calif.,
Pittsburgh and San Francisco.
The rest of the league will have to wait until next
season, NFL officials say.
A version of this story appeared in the Milwaukee
Journal Sentinel on Dec. 4, 2002.
