Philadelphia Flyers Unveil New Alternate Jersey
We know you've been waiting to see the Flyers
alternate jersey, which originally was to be unveiled at
our home game vs. Toronto on November 29 at 1 p.m.
Because the jersey was prematurely exhibited by a local
sports outlet (with resultant coverage on the internet),
the Flyers would now like to present an official,
exclusive photograph of the alternate jersey being worn
by several of the Flyers.
Flyers Head Coach Ken Hitchcock liked what he saw in
the new alternate jersey.
"I was really impressed with it," Hitchcock said.
"Especially the way the numbers are and the way the
names coordinate with it."
Hitchcock added he liked the new dimension the gray
brought to the Flyers' sweater.
"Bringing in the third color, bringing in the
gray…They are nice. I was very impressed.”
Flyers Captain Keith Primeau was equally excited
about wearing the jersey this Friday against Toronto at
the First Union Center.
“They look sharp. They look really awesome. I think
people are going to like them," Primeau said.
