Cleveland Cavaliers Team Colors Update

Cavs.com has received several emails from you, our fans, asking about the recent survey on the new team colors. We will announce the results of the survey when we make the official announcement of the new team colors. The exact date has yet to be determined, but because of the NBA's protocol for color, logo and uniform changes, we will reveal the new team colors before the regular season begins. The process of changing colors is not one that can be rushed. Team colors will be used not only on uniforms, but also on warm-ups, authentic team gear, merchandise, the playing surface, brochures, stationery and more. Before announcing the colors, we want to make sure that they will be easily reproduced on all materials. Since the whole process takes a lot of time, we'd rather be sure we have colors that work well in all areas; if we don't get exactly the shades we are looking for, we can't change them again next year.

So to be fair to all of our fans, we would rather take a little more time and reveal the exact new team colors instead of quickly announcing a combination that is "close" to what we will eventually adopt. Thanks to all Cavaliers fans for your patience and interest.
