San Antonio Rampage Unveil Team Jerseys
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League
unveiled their home and road jerseys for the 2002-03
season this afternoon at a news conference in the
Alamodome.
Assistant Coach Scott Allen (left) displays the
Rampage away jersey, while Head Coach John Torchetti
shows off the team's home jersey.
The home jersey has a white body, with a light gray,
blue and navy blue trim, while the road jersey has a
blue body with a light gray and navy blue trim. Both
jerseys display the Rampage logo on the chest with the
secondary logo appearing on the shoulders, and the words
“San Antonio” written across the bottom of the uniform.
The blue color is complimentary to the blue used in the
Florida Panthers’ logo, the Rampage’s National Hockey
League affiliate. SP Apparel, the official supplier of
the American Hockey League produced the jerseys.
“The unveiling of the uniforms is another step taken
towards what we feel will be an exciting inaugural
season. The look given is representative of the physical
game of hockey, while at the same time is something that
the fans in San Antonio can relate to,” said Rampage
Director of Business Operations Rick Carden.
San Antonio opens their inaugural season in the AHL
on October 12 in Milwaukee when they play the Admirals
at 7:00 p.m. San Antonio plays their first six games on
the road before making their SBC Center debut against
the Houston Aeros on November 3 at 5:00 p.m.
