Team Colors Are Black, White And Columbia Blue
Pittsfield, Mass - The Berkshire Black Bears, the new
Northern League team that will play at Wahconah Park in
Pittsfield, Massachusetts, unveiled their team logo
today. The introduction of the logo depicting "Tator",
the team's mascot, wearing a team jersey and holding a
baseball bat, happened at the Pittsfield Rotary luncheon
held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
General Manager Michael Kardamis said "We received a
lot of submissions for our logo from people and
companies both locally and around the country. It was a
time consuming process going through them all and in the
end we came up with what I believe is the best look for

The Berkshire Black Bears will hold open tryouts at
Wahconah Park on May 11, 2002 with sign up at 8:30am and
the tryout beginning at 9:00am. There is a $20.00 fee.
The Berkshire Black Bears begin their inaugural Northern
League season on Friday, May 24th at Wahconah Park in
Pittsfield, MA. Season tickets are on sale now. Tickets
for the Black Bears can be reserved by calling (413)
448-BALL (2255). All previous season ticket holders and
partial plan ticket holders are encouraged to call the
Black Bears office immediately to ensure seat location
