Coastal Plain League (baseball) - Gastonia Grizzlies
Gastonia Grizzlies Unveil Logo
The
Gastonia Grizzlies unveiled their new logo today. The
new art work was designed by Graphic Designer James B.
Hicks, III. The new logo creates a visual identity, for
the nickname chosen by fan vote during the recent name
the team contest. "We are very excited about the new
look", said Grizzlies General Manager, Clay Battin.
"This logo will give people something to identify the
Grizzlies with. James has done a fantastic job, and has
given us a logo that will be easy to promote and market
in Gaston County. I look forward to seeing all of our
souvenirs and printed materials, and I think our fans
will be excited when they see the logo."
Coastal Plain League President, Pete Bock, had this
to say of the new logo, "It was very important for the
league to put a strong, marketable logo in place in
Gastonia for their first season. I think the logo fits
well with the image that both the league as a whole, and
our other teams, put forth."
The Grizzlies team colors are black, gold, and brown.
The Grizzlies uniforms will have "Grizzlies" in gold
lettering on the front of the jerseys for the inaugural
season, with the hats to be black with a brown Grizzly
head on the front.
